Performing Arts Technology · The Flagship Practice · On Stage

For creators, technology isn’t an accessory. It’s part of the craft.

Performing Arts Technology is Ariel’s founding practice: on-device, sovereign edge AI built for live performance. Real-time multilingual supertitles, holographic projection that integrates into stage design, and systems engineered for the one environment where a second chance never comes.

The practice

The stage is where our architecture earned its claims.

Live performance is the hardest room in technology. Latency is visible to a thousand people at once. There is no retry, no buffering, no “the network was slow.” Every claim Ariel makes about on-device, real-time, multilingual AI was demonstrated first in front of paying audiences. That is deliberate.

We build technology for theaters, opera houses, concert halls, and festivals: captioning that is part of the stage picture, translation that keeps pace with a live performer, and projection that respects the designer’s intent instead of competing with it.

Art decides what technology is for. That is not a slogan here; it is the founding order of operations. This practice began with productions, audiences, and a director’s intent, and the technology was built to serve them. Live performance is the hardest proving ground there is, and it is where everything else we build begins.

What we build

Three surfaces of one stagecraft.

Supertitle™, the flagship

Our patented dynamic supertitle system: AI-driven holographic captioning across four languages, real-time and entirely on-device. Demonstrated at Weiwuying, Taiwan’s premier stage, and featured on Taiwan Public Television.

Stage-integrated projection

Captions rendered as floating holographic elements inside the stage design, not fixed LED panels beside it. The audience keeps its eyes on the performance; the language arrives where the eye already is.

Immersive stage ecosystems

The direction of the practice: multilingual AI captioning designed to complement immersive display and projection ecosystems, so language becomes one more expressive layer of the production.

On the record

Demonstrated on Taiwan’s premier stage.

Weiwuying · 12 October 2025

National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts

Multilingual supertitles demonstrated in ticketed performance at Taiwan’s premier national performing-arts venue.

On-device · Four languages

Mandarin · Japanese · Korean · English

Every word transcribed, translated, and rendered entirely on the device in the venue. No audio, no script and no performance data leaves the theatre.

Media · 公視

Featured on Taiwan Public Television
