Sophia Huang (黃舒郁), Ed.D., works where two crafts meet: the statistician’s discipline of evidence and the producer’s discipline of the live stage. She founded Ariel Innovations to build edge AI whose purpose is set by art, and whose claims are demonstrated in front of ticket-buying audiences before they are made anywhere else.
Her sixteen-year career in Silicon Valley spans machine learning, data science, and human-centric research, with senior roles at Visa, Tesla, Pivotal, and the University of California Office of the President. She is co-inventor of Taiwan utility-model patent M678964 and Japan utility-model registration 3255721 (Japan invention patent pending), the two-jurisdiction patent family behind the company’s Storytelling Supertitles™ system.
As a producer, she brought that system to the live stage at Weiwuying, the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, where it was demonstrated in ticketed performance and featured on Taiwan Public Television. On October 15, 2026 she delivers a CEATEC keynote in Makuhari Messe on edge AI and immersive theater.

The Velveteen Rabbit, with ODC
Co-produced with San Francisco dance company ODC:《愛的奇蹟：絨毛兔的奇幻之旅》, an adaptation of The Velveteen Rabbit, staged at Weiwuying. ODC’s first Taiwan engagement, with Kaohsiung youth dancing alongside the company, and underprivileged families invited to the theater through IPAC (International Performing Arts Consortium), which she founded and leads.
